Seriously? A life coach?
When I first heard the term ‘life coach’ I think I laughed.
“Seriously?” I’m pretty sure I said. “People need a coach to tell them how to live?”
She was officially a counsellor, but what she was doing was coaching me to be the best me I could be. Like a coach helping an athlete be the best athlete she could be.
Wait a minute. Like a coach helping an athlete.
A life coach helps a person be the best they can be. Just like a boxing coach helps a boxer be the best boxer she can be.
I felt reinvigorated. I understood that I could be more me. I wanted to be a life coach.
I enrolled in a coaching certification program. I quit my job. I read many books. I learned about Stoicism.
And now I can proudly say I am a life coach.
I can help you be the you you’ve always believed you could be. Just like my coach helped me be the me I’ve always believed I could be.
